WHATEVER YOU DO YOU'RE STILL YOU

JUST BE

Some mornings God and I
sit peacefully
sipping tea as the sun rises
silent and slowly
before the rat-a-tat-tat
of anxiety
attacks my head.
Some mornings just "being"
is more than enough,
it doesn’t matter
what I do or don’t do,
but more so,
how I do or don’t do it,
I love mornings
when God and I combine
our efforts into effortlessness,
rocking ourselves gracefully
through everything we do
and don’t.

TOO BIG TO JAIL

                                    THE "OCCUPY" MOVEMENT IS REAL

And the "moment" is now. If you have felt angry yet powerless to do anything to change the injustices socially and economically in the Us. and in the world...this is the moment we've been waiting for.

The current protesting against corporate/political corruption can become a forgotten spit in the bucket or it can grow into a force that indeed will be heard and will effect change in our impotent government structure. It's easy to become a part of this revolution. To support it, just write it, journal it, fb it tweet it, share it on the social network which is STILL FREE at this time for us to speak thru and be heard.

To ultimately reshape our culture into a sustainable scheme is possible. And we can work together to do it now instead of waiting for the oil too run out at which point the "Biggies" will then take over the renewable energy production and we will end up with the same undemocratic, uncapitalistic situation.

It's an old slogan but a true one: "united we stand, divided we fall". Media and money has done a great job of sustaining and growing the "right"/"left" conflict so we we remain at each others throats instead of stepping back and looking together, at what is really going on here.

Deregulation, the loss of antitrust and anti monopoly legislation and enforcement, the allowance of corporate tax loopholes, the "buying" of political positions and power, the relationship between and wealth created by the military indistrial complex, the profitability of war, the control of oil, the power  of the drug companies over the insane costs of health, and on and on and on...

The original Boston Tea Party and American Revolution took place because the colonists were paying taxes to England and getting nothing back for their new country. "NO TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION"  was their battle cry and can become ours now as well. I invite you to become a conscientious objector to the way your tax dollars are being spent and protest this misuse by withholding your tax payments this April 15th. Stop supporting the agenda of the 1% now. The wealth of that group of 400 families in the Us is money literally out of our pockets. For every penny you make on your portfolio, they make a dollar. Pull your money out and put it in your mattresse. When the economy shuts down entirely, the wealthy will be down and out along with the rest of us.

PAST LIGHT

An ancient gnarled oak
thrusts it's roots deep into earth while
limbs conspire and contort reaching toward the sun.

An ancient elderly soul
ponders the possibility of enlightenment,
stretching toward the divine light
of loving grace.

Speeding past planets, stars and moons ,
  spiraling faster
than the speed of light until
we are beyond light and
racing into the dark, unknown.

Flying into nothingness
we die back  into the source of everything.

Who Beats This Drum?

who is it that beats this drum?
if you think it is you
then leave this circle
you are not humble enough for truth,
who is it that fills these lungs?
if you think it is you
you are not of this circle,
but sit trapped within your arrogance.
the beating drum
within your chest,
that flute played with your breath...
gifts, all gifts:
the drum, the flute, this breath,
now this breath too...

gifts all gifts,
 each present moment.
where do these gifts come from?
if you do not know-find out!

PUN INTENDED

i peer down the well this morning
and the well has gone dry-
no water, no wisdom,

oh well..
no pun intended-
just trying to learn
how to live without a plan,
and trust the wind.
you could say,
i am planning on having no plan,
and that pun would have been intended,
but anyway you say it
i will say this;
a man without a plan
cannot fail
and a man who cannot fail
has nothing to fear.
just one certain step after another
into uncertainty,
just one true moment after another,
present only to the present.
still-
you should look both ways before you cross the street,
pay attention to oncoming buses
and every one else you’re sure
 to meet..
